There were a lot of surprises and entertainment at the annual Jacaranda Music Festival held over the weekend.
The show started on Friday and ended on Saturday with different genres such as reggae, urban grooves, and afro-fusion.
There were so many local artists such as Ammara Brown, Bryan K, Roki, Tammy Moyo and many more.
sang songs like ‘Ndibereke, Lay it Down, Kwandinobva and beautiful among others.
The late Dr. Mtukudzi’s band, the Black Spirits, blessed the crowd with some Tuku’s hits.
There were not only local artists at the festival, but South African house duo Black Motion also left the crowd asking for more.
Some of the performers who graced the event included Mokoomba, Jesa, ProBeat, Norman Kasanba among others.
Walter Wanyanya festival director told NewsDay Life & Style that the gesture by Jah Prayzah performing with the Black Spirits is a way of paying tribute to the late music icon.
Every artist wanted to perform with the Black Spirits, as Ringo Madlingozi, Jah Prazah, and others conducted together with other members from Tuku’s band.
