Wonders of Victoria Falls !!!
When you hear the word nature, what do you think it is? Do you think it is important? Others think nature is just the oceans and the forests. But l believe that nature is everything on earth whether it is the food, water, or wood we use to build our houses.
Victoria Falls is one of the destinations that shows the beauty of nature. Situated on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe possibly makes it the most famous waterfall in existence. The weir lies on the southern bank of the Zambezi River at the western end of Victoria Falls themselves.
Victoria Falls is one of the seven wonders of the Natural World. It ha been declared a UNESCO world heritage site since 1989. As the world’s largest waterfall, Victoria Falls has a unique structure that produces the largest single sheet of flowing water in the world. It is 5604 feet (1708m) wide and 354 feet (108m) high.
It is probably the most beautiful and romantic place in the world. Victoria Falls is a town in the province of Matabeleland North Zimbabwe. The name Victoria Falls comes from Scottish explorer and missionary Dr. David Livingston believed to be the first European to see the falls.
The most exciting about Victoria Falls is there are so many ways to discover the Victoria Falls for example helicopter ride over the top, bungee jumping off Victoria Falls Bridge, jet boating and white-water rafting.
Victoria Falls is also referred to as Mosi-oa-Tunya “Smoke that Thunder” meaning sound of the fall and the heavy mist that is produced by falling water. Roughly one million people visits Zimbabwe each year to view the falls.
